Mon Mon Mon Monsters offers plenty to delight horror fans, with a dazzling visual style, a number of standout set pieces and compelling performances from a mostly young cast.

Nathanael Hood 27 Dec 2018

Mon Mon Monsters is a fine-tuned, grotesquely gory test of audience endurance. It's hatefulness is stunning, but that hatefulness is deliberate.

Boon Chan 25 Jul 2017

So much so that the film feels unnecessarily drawn out with too many gee-how-can-we-top-this scenes of torture.

Andrew Wyatt 07 Dec 2018

Aficionados of Asian horror at its most comically excessive will enjoy it as a gonzo pleasure, but it's too clumsy and unpleasant to be any kind of cult classic in the making.

Reynaldo L 27 Jul 2017

The best horror movie to come from Taiwan. I loved it. It feels like an 80s teen slasher. I don't want to ruin it for you I will just say it's like a mix of Carrie and Fright Night. Get out and see it, if you can.
