Minions: The Rise of Gru is the perfect movie if you’ve been needing a moment to just laugh, no matter what age you are. Yes, it is an animated film that will appeal to kids for sure, but it's written with adults in mind, too.

So good!! Minions have done it again - loveable and laughable!! Real DM fans will appreciate the prequel aspects sprinkled throughout as well. Fun for all ages.

Minions: The Rise of Gru will not usher in a new era of animation, nor change the way we treat prequels. What it will do is entertain kids with more Minions shenanigans, a fair number of fart jokes, and references to other characters in the franchise.

It is a well-made film, with some hilarious jokes in the middle, it felt like a perfect sequel to minions and prequel to the despicable me franchise. Some parts of the movie had me laugh a lot like the airport or the training. And it also answers a lot of questions about gru and his career.
