Quite possibly shares the title of the most LIKEABLE film ever made with Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. Unsurprisingly, they are written by the same bloke. Sure, Maverick is about 20 minutes too long, but can you really have too much of a good thing, when that thing is pure goofy charm and fun and cheekiness? Rhetorical question.

Great movie, I never saw the tv show though. Jodie Foster was so beautiful, James Garner and James Coburn were hysterical, and Mel Gibson was so suave and goofy. The characters were played so well, and I never got tired of the movie. Graham Greene (the Indian chief) was hysterical too. Great movie.

Probably the best, modern western comedy! Mel Gibson and James Garner made an interesting but ultimately good pair in this film!!!
