I love movies set in the 1900's English countryside. Add in gay trysts, superb dialog and solid acting and you've got yourself a queer classic!

Merchant/Ivory at their best - great adaptation of the novel. Timeless story, great evolution of characters & meticulously researched period details. James Wilby is amazing, and Hugh Grant is pleasantly un-annoying. Highly recommended!

One of the first films I saw with any homosexual references and beautiful to look at like all Merchant Ivory films. Book is great too.
