Marguerite is a shining star, a film that will set you laughing and thinking in equal measure.

Leonard Maltin 11 Mar 2016

A touching portrait of a woman with a dream... leading lady, Catherine Frot, is perfection.

Michael O'Sullivan 24 Mar 2016

In the end, Marguerite isn’t a comedy so much as a love story. True love, it seems, isn’t just blind; it must be deaf, too.

Mark Dujsik 24 Mar 2016

It's a good joke, but more importantly, the first time that [writer/director Xavier] Giannoli allows us to laugh at Marguerite is also the last time.

M. Faust 26 Sep 2017

It is Giannoli and Frot's shared accomplishment that we come to feel for this deluded woman, who loves music and her husband with a passion that is returned by neither.
