With so little action or even insight, Marathon is far too long at only 74 minutes. Perhaps for the sequel, we can come along as Gretchen watches paint dry.

Rich Cline 03 Apr 2010

We need to endure rather a lot of amateurish filmmaking to get to the raw, important story that's being told

Lisa Rose 07 Apr 2004

It makes for a satisfyingly excruciating experience.

Dennis Schwartz 14 Jan 2004

It's certainly a gem; a probable "underground" masterpiece.

Edward Havens 31 Mar 2004

A minimalist's dream film, "Marathon" should be able to find a small but very devoted group of fans, eager to experience something quiet and thought-provoking.
