The plot make no sense. Characters dies and other characters will forget about them the next scene. Mass destruction and 100killed and people still pretend like nothing happened, showing up to the wedding like theres nothing.

It’s starting to seem like every franchise film, when in search of a story, throws a battle against the wall and hopes something sticks. Not only has this gotten tiresome, but it also sacrifices what we came here for in the first place: Jolie and Pfeiffer glowering at each other.

Maleficent 2 is a good Disney tale, it does not cause any incredible emotions, but still holds the level set by the first part. So if you liked the first Maleficent, then the new part should be liked.

That doesn't translate into magic, but in terms of improving on the original, giving the stars some reasonably good material to play and delivering action within its PG parameters, Mistress of Evil pretty much threads the needle.
