Bon, effectivement il est long ce film...mais alors... franchement, il faut le voir absolument. C'est l'un des plus beaux films de l'Histoire du CinÃ©ma... bien je ne suis pas un spÃ©cialiste lÃ , mais bon... jugez par vous mÃªme...

la vita e' pazzia o normalita' ? senza Helmut Berger non sarebbe lo stesso , solo un gran bel film stilisticamente perfetto di un grande regista. Interpretazione allucinante

I bow to Visconti and Berger. This biography of the most famous Bavarian king is clearing up all sappy and cheesy myths that might exist. His madness Ludwig II was a fascinating figure, twisted bipolar mind, visionary and provider of the much frequented castle Neuschwanstein. The set design, lightning and costumes are excellent. Romy Schneider is again playing the Austrian Empress Elisabeth, but thanks to Visconti far away from that 50s-Sissi-Kitsch.
