Casarosa has crafted a modest and gentle yarn about a few good-natured people in a small area, and their enviably simple way of life. His cartoon is aimed at the heart – and the tastebuds – rather than the brain. And it's no less of a delight for that.

I love it. The relationship between the main characters evolves in a pure way. The message of liberty and inclusion might not be new, but it never gets old. Italian culture is represented very well (I'm italian), the only cringe thing is "Santa Pecorino/Mozzarella". If I had to criticize one thing, it is the "villain" and what happens to him in the end, which I think it is a bit forced. Apart from this, I think it's a perfect film.
