Sanchez ratchets up the tension incrementally - things heard and not quite seen - creating a mood of unease that graduates in stages into full-blown horror.

So this isn't terrifying or as effectively haunting as the one film Sanchez is known for (though he's made several), but I was still scared and really really enjoyed it. Gretchen Lodge was awesomely convincing and it's impressive to me what Sanchez's eye can make really super creepy. I'm glad he is back in the news and I hope this brings him success so he can make more movies.

Lovely Molly is a mixed bag. It will definitely freak you out in places, but it remains a mostly unsatisfying story with a lot of promise and no follow-through.

An incredibly disturbing and scary thriller about a woman who may be haunted by either the memories of her troubled childhood or something much more terrifying. The performances are great, specially Gretchen Lodge's. She gives an absolutely astonishing performance that makes us fear her and care for her at the exact same time. Johnny Lewis and Alexandra Holden also give some solid performances. The direction and script are remarkably solid as well (Eduardo has matured a lot since he directed The Blair Witch Project). Overall, if you can stomach it... definetely give it a shot.
