Underrated romantic drama, with rich NYC atmosphere and a trenchant look at sexual mores.

A great movie! Some very controversial themes for the 1960s. I enjoyed the end of the movie and the awkwardness between McQueen and Wood. Speaking of which, Steve McQueen and Natalie Wood in the same movie!! A must see!!

Steve McQueen and Natalie Wood make for some darn lovable characters. I found myself rooting for their relationship without ever feeling it was cheesy. The mood successfully transitions from light to dark, making it feel like real life.

One of my favorite movies of all times.... partly because of the major crush I've had on Steve McQueen since I was about 7, but also because this is one of the first movies to deal with abortion. I love the ending too.
