I cant begin to explain why this movie is amazing, I would need more time to break it down. But what I will bring to everyone's attention is that, Paulie never identifies herself as a lesbian, she says "i'm paulie in love with torrie". So for anyone who thinks this is some sort of "homage" to homosexuality is wrong. but of course if you aren't of the community, its easy to confuse something so incredibley obvious. It was great, despite this fact. Piper Perbao blew everyone else out of the water with her neartbreaking performance. It actually makes me cry every single damn time.

I'm not aware of any better effort by any actor in the past 25 years. I canâ(TM)t remember such a powerful movie with such remarkable acting in many, many years. As Paulie, Piper Perabo puts in one of the most emotionally riveting performances of the past decade (or 2 or 3). As the lead, she perfectly displays an emotional range that is incredible given her youth. And she provides the nuances that make each scene and emotion credible, from the highest of joy to the depths of despair and depression.
