This film approaches the nature of civilization and self-government from an anthropologicallviewpoint, we notice that there is a thin line between savage tribalism and ordered civilization in our society

I think I need to watch the original as well. I really liked this film, although the childrens' swearing did get to me a little bit (perhaps I am old fashioned). I now 'get' so many more of the references from South Park, The Simpsons etc. so it was worth it. I just need to read the book now.
