I loved this flick and the required stretch of the imagination, wasn't that far fetched for me. Consider this film in light of current and improving CGI technology. If/when the technology is good enough, flesh and blood actors could become obsolete. Think of it: being able to bring back to life some of the really, really great actors. Wow! And the current and not so recent past crop of so called "good actors", Are, well honestly and with very few exceptions, simply pitiful. I personally can't wait. â¢--⢠Russell Johnson.

A silly and unconvincing contempo sci-fi thriller.

The premise, though, is the only satisfying thing about Looker, which Mr. Crichton has directed from his own original, stupifyingly nonsensical screenplay.

I don't know how well this film holds up 20-some years after it's release, but it was pretty cool back in the day.

I think this one got a bit of a rough treatment. Granted, it is a poor man's Videodrome, but its commentary on ad culture and gaze towards the future of digitizing celebrities is quite prophetic. Not the best constructed film though... One of the first instances of pre-Tron CGI.
