Sure, it's a cheesy blend of The Thing and Alien. But it's still a dumb, fun movie with pre-CGI special effects, which usually adds a higher level of enjoyment. the cast is definitely a plus, featuring Peter Weller, Richard Crenna, Ernie Hudson, Daniel Stern, and Hector Elizondo.

My opinion is perhaps based upon the fact this was a little gem I found in my very young years as a boy. Its an extrememly typical 80s alien.monster flick. Its a real poor mans Aliens, and to be fair I dont think it should be overlooked because its basically void of any soul. Its simple enough, and the movie is paced well, and if you like the monster flicks of the 80s, then this is a really nice little movie. The acting ranges from awful to not bad, no one is going to win anything for this film. Quite a few young faces of actors who went on to do bigger things. So in short, a typical 80s monster movie that isnt great but isnt crap either.
