Tom Hardy's portrayal of the twins, particularly Ron, is superb. Maps the rise and fall of power of the notorious gangsters.

A good, well-made film, the highlight of which is Tom Hardy's performance (or should that be performances?), but one that never excels due to lacking personality and just being another in a long line of similar gangster movies. That and I don't quite understand the purpose of having Emily Browning narrate the story. Without narration the film could've been framed as the story of Reggie Kray trying to go straight but not being able to. Now the narration kinda throws you off as to whose story Legend is supposed to be, especially considering the events towards the end of the film. 8/10

Legend stands as a terrific film with some unforgettable scenes. But perhaps its biggest praise is that it has given us one of the best performances in recent years with Tom Hardy owning the role of both Kray brothers and proving once more that he's a powerhouse actor with such diversity and magnificence. It's a truly fascinating film that perfectly blends Crime, Comedy and Violence.
