A yacht lies at anchor in a bay off the Sicilian coast. Naomi, a young Japanese woman, has four days to leave her son with a lasting memory of her before she loses custody of him forever. In this hostile environment, Naomi faces the difficulty of approaching Ken under the controlling glare of the crew. When Naomi's hopes seem lost Ken starts to take an interest in her. Timeless days magnify the weight of their last goodbye.

Absolutely brutal. A more similar message to Easy Rider than say, Y Tu Mama Tambien, but with even more of a shock value if you can imagine it. Great musings on of the loss of innocence,that half-baked teen wisdom- desire, hate and peer pressure all thrown in together- and the pitfalls of the 60s sexual revolution.

Provocative tale of three teenagers (Barbara Hershey, Richard Thomas, and Bruce Davison) who are beginning to get hormones and wanting sex. They start to experiment with one another, and drag another poor girl (Cathy Burns) into the mix. Could be compared to "The Last Picture Show" released two years later, but does not have the same greatness as that film does. However, it is still interesting and they are quite a few memorable scenes. One notable segment is when the three teenagers take care of seagull and try to help it fly again. Unfortunately, it does not survive, thanks to Hershey's anger issues. Performances are strong, especially by Burns, and the cinematography, for which the film takes place on Fire Island, off the coast of Long Island (I thought further south than that).

while not for everyone, this coming of age story does what it should - reminds you why you loved and hated being a teenager. you're always caught in the middle and never quite sure where to go, but you know you're going somewhere for the first time.
