Lasso (2017)

The story of Simon and Kit, two young leaders of an Active Senior adventure tour group that take a day trip out to a small-town Rodeo located deep in the woods. Their lives are turned upside down when they find themselves fighting to stay alive against a group of psycho, bloodthirsty cowboys from the local rodeo.

Young care worker Simon makes an unlikely hero in a genre that usually focuses on women but keeps viewers rooting for him throughout much of the running time.

to put it reductively, the best reason to watch Lasso is for the grotesque, gory kills or - if it's your thing - for the sculpted musculature of the cowboys' bodies. Rawhide!

Over the top, and utterly ridiculous in some instances, but in a good way. This movie stands in its truth of being extreme, and that will make you either love it or hate it.
