The best film on the subject, possibly the one movie Ken Loach will be remembered for.

Everyone should check this out. Very interesting, thought provoking film about a man going to fight for freedom, leaving Britain. Sad, political, moving, heavy. Our deeds will last.

An overlooked gem and forerunner to the same directors 'The Wind That Shakes the Barley'.

Some people say it´s about the life of George Orwell. Not really, but a homage to those europeans who came to fight in the spanish civil war against fascism

Great movie of the Spanish Civil War! (which lies mostly in the shadow of WOII...) Nice shooting & lots of intruiging political discussions!
