The absolute greatest "what the hell am I watching." A beautiful ode to 80s action and cop film, and just to the 80s as a whole. It makes me nostalgic for the decade (despite having been born just outside it), and it was kind of a thrill. It was also much funnier the second time, I noticed far more details when I wasn't trying to keep up with the plot. Those little details, btw, are pretty awesome, and kind of legitimize the project (as if the SFX weren't enough). I'm recommending this movie left and right. If you don't get it, you just might not get it, and that's cool, but I hope you don't leave some "this movie made no sense" review and a one star. I really loved it. Last thing - it's kind of kickass that they released the movie for free everywhere.

A pitch-perfect parody of the schlockiest of schlocky action films, but taken to heights of giddy excess even those venerable classics could only dream of. Its short length keeps the joke from dragging out excessively, though I have a sneaking suspicion I could have stomached a feature film's length of this delicious ham. An absolute must for fans of Axe Cop, keytars, synth-heavy power ballads, and/or David Hasselhoff.

Kung Fury is one of the best short films that perfectly blends in the virtual world with realism. The characters are based on childhood video game fighters and the acting is great as well.

Kung Fury takes every single 80s action-movie cliche and morphs into one movie. The over the top serious tone of the main character provides humor during some of the movie's goofiest parts.
