Beautiful vampire Djuna tries to resist the advances of the handsome, human screenwriter Paolo, but eventually gives in to their passion. It's refreshing to see a vampire movie that brings sexy back. Kiss Of The Damned moves very deliberately, and it's not afraid to pause and ponder upon the nature of life for both the living and the undead. The only male lead is never fully developed, but I suppose it isn't all that important, this film is much more about vampire romanticism than it is about characters. Some of it is rather cheesy, but if you stick with it to the end perhaps you will find it to be an odd delight as I did.

Cassavetes puts over this simple, poorly acted story with moody lighting, self-consciously "beautiful" gore, and an annoying penchant for impressionistic quick-cut flashbacks, all of which get in the way of rather than enhance the supposed fun.

Kind of your standard vampire flick that could have used more development in most of the key scenes, especially the beginning. And some of the dialog was just weird, and I'm not talking about the the character's accents (that is sometimes a problem too) although I think it may have been on purpose, maybe for dry humor or to pay homage to standard horror films. definitely picked up in the last half otherwise I would say to not bother. Nice eye candy for guys however.

With it's feminist approach , Kiss Of The Damned is a genuinely sexy, ferociously violent, darkly comic, and deliciously entertaining vampire tale. And in the wake of the atrocious Twilight Saga, it all but revamps and reignites the Vampire genre. Vampires are sexy again.

Not bad but definitely not a movie that I would like to watch again.....if you like Milo or Joséphine you will want to see it but other than that I don't find anything special or remarkable about "Kiss of the damned"....
