Gladys Glover has just lost her modeling job when she meets filmmaker Pete Sheppard shooting a documentary in Central Park. For Pete it's love at first sight, but Gladys has her mind on other things, making a name for herself. Through a fluke of advertising she winds up with her name plastered over 10 billboards throughout city.

Directed by George Cukor, starring Jack Lemmon and Judy Holliday, it's one of the funniest movies from it's era.

It's impossible not to fall in love with Jack Lemmon in this movie, but honest to god, having never seen a Judy Holliday film before, I have to admit to being sincerely disappointed. I'd always heard she was this great comedienne. Not so in this movie. She's OK, but Lemmon makes the movie bearable and somehow manages to earn the turn at the end, which otherwise would have been unfathomable.
