Ira & Abby (2006)

A neurotic, young psychology student, with low self-esteem, has a chance encounter with a free-spirited, extremely gregarious woman who works at the Paris Health Club in New York City, and who suggests that they immediately get married to see how it will work out. Both of the student's parents are analysts, and they provide the happy couple with a gift certificate for a year of marriage counseling as a wedding present.

an adorable lil indie flick that is very charming. it won't change your life, but it will make you smile, a cute film

If you're looking for a simplistic fairy tale about love and marriage that will placate you and tell you that love is an easy and magical thing that will all fall into place once you get married, then you'll be sorely disappointed. Though sometimes verging on the fantastical, I often found the obviously unrealistic moments, seemed more honest and true about relationships than most movies out there.

pretty funny movie which i knew nothing about before watching it. the supporting cast was great, and very funny, most notably judith light, fred willard, and jason alexander. also very interesting how many psychiatrists were in this
