A great pastiche of classic westerns, it quotes from a lot of them and parodies a lot more without ever descending into camp. The occasional, well-placed anachronisms are a scream. But for me one of the most entertaining parts of the movie was the opening titles, which were not just inspired by Sergio Leone, but imitated him slavishly.

Nicely done movie and very entertaining, although the plot itself is very simple and common, and this one looks like a "Western John Wick". Hawke and Travolta shine a lot (and Abbie!!!), way better than the other characters that look sometimes very cartoonish. Very good western movie.

From the excellent opening, there is homage to Leone and Jeff Grace's soundtrack is pure Morricone with Death Rides a Horse a major influence. Hawke as always turns in a fine performance. Travolta is the balls as the town's Marshall. Slow paced but delivers a solid finale.

Low budget B movie western. The writing was bad. The supporting acting wasn't much better. Not altogether horrible. Hawke, Travolta and Farmiga were good.

Travolta's first western and it's great.
