Set during the unsettling disappearances in Buenos Aires during the dictatorship of the 1970s, the film involves theater director Carlos Rueda and his wife Cecilia. man, i was really hoping to like this coz i thought it was a good pairing of banderes and thompson, not to mention the story and what it was based on, but i was really let down. the whole plot was silly. didnt do justice for the topic it was addressing. though i was blown away by emma thompson's performance, she can pull off being a south american just as well as any other nationality she has played

Really sad and really disturbing. Can't believe something like this happened and that so few people know about it. It was hard to watch and I know the movie only scratched the surface of what actually happened, but I thought it did a good job telling the story of this family.
