Fine performances and well realized characters in a prison/juvenile detention drama which unfortunately starts to wear a little thin before it wraps up.

If 'The Death of Mr Lazarescu' and '4 Months, 3 Weeks and 2 Days' represented the breakers of the so-called Romanian New Wave, this thinly competent entry is the backwash.

Silviu is a tragic young adult living a shattered abused-life while acting like a parent to his younger brother. This I get it, I admire and I think it justifies the proceedings. But the ending simply isn't satisfatory, leaving the wheel too early and a raw feeling in the stomach.

Iznimno napet film o djecaku koji zavrsi u popravnom domu zbog svojih nedjela. Kako bi sto prije izasao iz zatvora i pritom pomogao bratu, trudi se popraviti svoje ponasanje. Na put mu pak stane majka koju ocigledno mrzi te djevojka u koju se zaljubio i samim time promijenio ponasanje. Na gore. Napet rumunjski film, preporucam ga svim filmofilima.
