Angel, a selfish rotter is hanging around in a local bar, groping the wife of the barman and dealing with weapons. One morning he wakes up finding a pair of wings growing at his back. This looked so cool, so original! In the very beginning I had problems in following the jumping graphics and felt almost a bit dizzy, but once you get used to that, the visuals are just stunning for an animation.

After exploring the human psyche with his visionnary work, Bill Plympton goes a step further with this movie and integrates some bittersweet romance and absurdity and a more "noir" feeling into his work. I tought that he couldn't do better and renew his universe but here he proves again he is an artist with unlimited inspiration. Watch this wonderfull piece of poetry quickly before it's to late.

Even without a word of dialogue, Plympton's dark fable about the almost unnatural redemption of a lost soul content in its damnation is easily understood, and neatly told.
