This is the perfect example of a Sunday afternoon film, and i don't mean that in a derogatery way, Ice Cold In Alex is exciting, dramatic and undeniably British. Add some great performances, well-written script and classic iconography together, and you've got a classic.

Brilliant. All 4 leads are at their best. A real gritty war journey with plenty of sublime underlying struggles. The type of movie the British do better than anyone else.

Surely one of the best films ever made. Gripping, edge-of-your-seat drama, beautifully and sensitively acted. Pretty much perfect.

It's a bit obvious who the "baddy" is, but nether the less, a highly enjoyable film and classic end scene... A must for all alcoholics out there !
