The first half of the movie is quite dull. You would not understand what the title means until you watch more than a half of this movie. I think it would be a lot funnier if the rediculous situation in which Cary Grant becomes a "war bride" were longer and the first half shorter.

Of course I love Cary Grant, but Ann Sheridan definatly held her own next to him here. I enjoyed watching them together. Plus watching Cary try to explain that he is in fact not a woman and the confusion it causes is awesome.

Cary Grant is the only actor who never disappoints you .You can'\t find enough adequate words to describe him perfectly. He is the actor who comes only ones, no one is gonna resemble him perfectly ever !This is one of the best and one of the funniest movie from him ever. HOward HAwks showed why he is called the best director of all time. In case of romantic comedies, he is unreachable ! so humorous and funny, onscreen chemistry between Cary Grant and Ann Sheridan in this movie is one of the best You can ever get.One of the best romantic movies I have seen so far.

funny film directed by the more than able howard hawks, starring cary grant and ann sheridan who both put in strong performances with their quick-witted remarks. nothing special but it has sheer entertainment value. ideal for staving off boredom. seeing cary grant dress up in drag was fucking hilarious
