Prague, Czechoslovakia, during the inter-war period. Poetic and neat. It explores karma, human desires, things we lost and found and lost again. This movie is already immortal.

This movie was a real pleasure. Very poignant, and good research for my Hitler book. Loved the quaintness of this portrayal of WWII Prague, hich was hilarious in parts.
