Hysterical (1982)

Frederic Lansing is a writer who hopes to find inspiration while vacationing in Hellview, Oregon; however, the lighthouse in which he's staying is haunted by the ghost of Venetia, who had killed herself 100 years ago and now wants to use Lansing as a vessel for her dead husband, Captain Howdy. When Howdy's ghost starts killing people, two bumbling scientists are brought in to investigate the history of the lighthouse and solve the case.

Most people I know hate this movie, but I just can't stop laughing long enough to chastise them. Yes there are some slow parts, I know, but I'm a sucker for ultra corny comedy and this movie has that. The parody of JAWS is hilarious and there are plenty of quotes spread thoughout the movie. Take it for what it is, a ridiculous horror parody, and enjoy>

The best spoof of all time. It might have been made by below par brothers but it did have Jaws and one of the Dirty Dozen.

A little known 80's gem. If you don't see it, you're doomed.

Made me laugh as a kid. Probably doesn't hold up, but it has its moments, and... a catch-phrase: "you're doomed."
