There isn’t one joke, sight gag or piece of slapstick tomfoolery that lands with any success or originality in Hot Pursuit.

Let me put it this way: this movie sucked bad enough to make a Kevin James movie look Oscar-worthy. I've sat through some pretty bad movies in the past, this is in the first in a while that I've wanted a refund halfway-through.

A popcorn flick in all regards. If you're seeking mindless enjoyment, you won't be disappointed. Sure, we've seen these jokes before - but Reese Witherspoon with Sofia Vergara sporadically make them fresh. It's not a great movie, but it's a movie about women, starring women.

While a movie that fails to catch fire is disappointing, there is something even more dispiriting about a movie that doesn’t even bother to try, that tosses its stars a soggy book of matches and expects them to generate a spark.

Hands down this is one of the best comedies of the year. You need to be open-minded and understand the latin jokes, and in that way you can enjoy the movie. Amazing actors on it. Sofia and Reese both did a great job.
