Gritty urban film that despite the look (and budget) of a BBC3 production carries a real punch. There's a lot going on with threads of violence, abuse, incest and poverty. You can't take your eyes off it, and it maintains its high standards throughout.

The title of the film doesn't quite do justice to what is otherwise a fairly intense inner-city drama. It's a very drab storyline throughout, but acted well.

Rebecca Johnson was impressive in the directing of this film. This movie contains so much power as it shows the main character Layla desperately looking to fit in. She helps to paint this picture through abuse and paranoia. Furthermore, it shows her downfall as she constantly succumbs to peer pressure. If you're looking for a captivating movie to watch, you should give this film a shot.
