Of course Emily Watson and Rachel Griffiths are phenomenal, but James Frain is the most underrated actor in the world, and this film shows exactly why. His performance is perfection. This film is also emotionally wrenching, with a haunting score that draws from the real Jacqueline du Pre's recordings. It's controversial, but what's a good film without controversy?

I'm glad I now know the story of Jacqueline Du Pre, even though it's a tragic one. Massive acting performances all round, especially from the fabulous Emily Watson.

I've seen this movie countless times and still manage to cry my eyes out. I guess having a sister myself I can sympathise with the strong bond and competition there usually is and trying to find that happy balance to keep you sane.
