The kind of caper movie that was made before special effects replaced wit, construction and intelligence. This movie is made out of fresh ingredients, not cake mix. Despite the twists of its plot, it is about its characters.

A solid movie. Hackman has some great lines in this one.

Mamet is an absolute madman and this is some of his best work.

David Mamet. Gene Hackman. Delroy Lindo. Danny DeVito. Sam Rockwell. Really, 'nuff said.

Great take on the heist movie â?? brilliant set pieces and even better dialogue â?? which everyone now expects from a Mamet picture. Acting was top-notch from all involved, and Deloy Lindo was super-cool. Great plot, and you could see how it could of got out of hand if there wasnâ??t a master at the helm. Itâ??s gonna be interesting to see Mamet do the â??martial artsâ?? pic â??Redbeltâ?? coming up!
