You can fret at Heartburn's flimsiness, may even find it insufferably smug in its portrait of our set, but you probably won't be bored by it. And it is peopled with adults, these days enough to make you whimper in gratitude. If only these talents were in the service of something.

I was not a fan of this movie, however I was interested in seeing Nora Ephrons's biographical movie. I am a fan of Ephron's work. Streep and Nicholson give good performances (as they should) but not their best. They were very unforgetable roles. I did not really like it, and I think I even fast forwarded through some parts just so I could say I have seen it. Some parts were just very boring. If you want to see Streep and Nicholson together in amazing roles...watch: "Iornweed."

Another excellent performance from Meryl, this is definately her movie, not Jack's. I love the scene when they sing songs about babies together, and Meryl's scenes with her little daughter, really sweet. Then Jack turns into the biggest ass which gets just plain frustrating. But it's an enjoyable movie overall espec. for fans of Meryl which I definately am. Funny and heartbreaking at the same time.
