Hard to Die (1990)

While doing the inventory for a lingerie outlet in a high rise office building, five attractive women are terrorized by a series of bizarre killings. They suspect that the strange janitor, who witnessed another series of killings six months previously, is at the bottom of the whole thing. Little do they know the real horror that they face in the end.

It's a horror movie, a comedy, a slasher, a demon possession film, and a softcore porn romp all in one. And damn it, it's still a lot of fun.

Hard To Die is an unofficial remake of Sorority House Massacre 2, with the same cast, same unkillable "villan", girls in nighties, and annoyingly useless cops. What this film adds into the equation is machine guns, strange boxes, and a high rise building. It's hard to tell if this really is supposed to be funny or not. It feels more like a comedy than its predecessor, but it looses much of it's charm. Perhaps the cast and crew saw Sorority House Massacre 2 and realized that the movie wasn't as serious as they thought it would be, so they decided to really camp it up for this one. Hard To Die is a strange hybrid of softcore porn, horror, comedy, and action. It's as strange as you can imagine and almost seems to have been made up on the spot. It's strange, but entertaining enough to warrant a viewing for exploitation film lovers.

What in the hell did I just watch? A sequel to Slumber Party Massacre and Sorority House Massacre 2 packaged as a female version of Die Hard!? There are 4 pictures on the back of the box and only 2 of them are from the actual movie!? About 5 minutes in I thought someone had a different movie with the same title in the box. Anyways, this is not a bad movie and a must see for fans of the Slumber & Sorority House Massacre movies but I expected something completely different.

Well I should Learn that Sexy Covers do not make a good movie, i think Fangoria played this one up to much for me back in the day.

Blatent Die-Hard rip-off, get's some points for it's b-movie cred! It's loaded with ridiculous action sequences, chock full of female nudity and is reasonably fast-paced, but unless your a hard-core b-movie fan, this really is a bad movie!
