Greta is the child of uber rich parents and is a pawn in politics. She reads off a script and tweeted out a plan put together by uber rich people with dates to send tweets, exactly what to say and other things for her and celebrities to say/tweet. Greta and Rhianna both tweeted copied and pasted tweets from the "plan" on the dates specified. Her "handler" in India was imprisoned for LIFE as a response to the tweeted plan that was intended to disrupt the government of India and it's food supplies. She can not answer questions about the topics she speaks on because she doesn't know what she is talking about and can't intelligently talk about her topics unless she is reading from a script. She is one of the biggest political frauds of the century, but certain people idolize her. I fear for this country and the people who idolize her and canonize her in things like this movie. Independent thought is dead if you let the uber rich tell you want to believe via propaganda like this.

Despite the buildup of these horror expectations, there is no predicting how deliciously enjoyable it is to witness the macabre dance performed by Moretz and Huppert, two of the best actresses working in today’s movies. They play their game of cat and mouse with claws out; by the end of the berserko film, their characters are practically swinging from the rafters. Everyone appears to be having a grand time in Greta, and it would be crass for us as viewers to not respond similarly.

Basic suspense disguised as something more substantial. Don't get confused, Isabelle Huppert can hardly give more strength to the story while from Moretz I'm not expecting anything anymore. Honestly. Disappointing, not mediocre but rather disappointing.

For the movie’s first half, director Neil Jordan does a reasonably good job of it. Then, unfortunately, he falls victim to the most dreaded of horror movie clichés: supposedly smart characters doing irredeemably dumb things.

Basically what this all adds up to is maybe I had a reason not to take the bait to see “Greta”. Even with Chloë Grace Moretz and Isabelle Huppert in the main roles, the film is enjoyable at best with some suspenseful moments and build up tension and criminally underwhelming at worst as the real issue here lies in the predictable story, the fault in decision making for the characters and the slow burning build up not going anywhere once we get to the ending. The film, to me, is not relatively boring but if Moretz and Huppert weren’t here in, it probably would’ve been a different story. To be fair, it is one of Chloë’s better movies on her resume but that’s not really saying much. Like every other film, this one had potential via its director and screenwriter but magic doesn’t always formulate to the silver screen......and this is just one of those instances where the initial set-up is just lacking in subtlety to the point that this movie might as well be a satire.
