A bit slow but Hilary showed that she really can act! The story was confronting and touching...

it's a unique movie in terms of the whole styling and artistic direction and all. you'd think at first this would be a Juno rip-off, but you'll be surprised! .. hilary duff still sucks at acting though :(

If the rumors of Hilary Duff holding onto the script till the time was right are true. Then it's a good thing she waited till she was ready for this role. It's quite far from what we are use to seeing her in. Easily out of her comfort zone but she nails it with perfection. There have been comparisons to Georgia Rule. The difference here is you are actually rooting for Greta. You actually want her to turn her life around. You couldn't say the same for Lindsay Lohan in Georgia Rule. Hilary easily created a character that was obnoxious but still very likeable. The story did seem very rushed, but the chemistry between the cast was phenomenal.

When you see the trailer, it looks like another teen fluff movie, but in fact, it has more depth. You'll definitely laugh in this movie. It's not the best movie of the year, but I would recommend taking a chance to watch it. For some reason, the plotline is very misleading. The trailer is a better source for the plotline.

I'm a big fan of Hilary Duff, but I don't have high expectations for her ability to act. But According To Greta was a pleasant surprise! I'm not sure why the movie went straight-to-DVD.
