King Higlack of the Gauths entrusts prince Finn and a fire ball weapon to his champion, slayer Beowulf. Horrible. Managed to outdo the other flick 'Beowulf' in the unpopularity stakes. Poor acting, poor 'special' effects. Luckily I caught it on HBO.

bad film, not worth the money that was spent on it (which wasn't much).

I watched this on SyFy channel. It was entertaining. The coolest thing was the modern 'fire weapon' used by Beowulf in this flick. There are a ton of Beowulf and Grendel movies out there. This was is decent...

The Zemeckis version got a lot of hate but this one makes you appreciate the things it did have - good acting and impressive CGI work. While it's true that this version is more faithful to the original poem, and may hold some entertainment value for 10-14 year olds, it has very little value as a piece of film.
