L. Ron Hubbard was a fraud and these people are wrestling fans. At least that's what Alex Gibney is saying... One-sided? Yes. Full of information? Yes. An Expose? Yes. Fair-minded? No. Not one person from the Order of Scientology spoke for this documentary; however, that's not the fault of the director. That fault lies with the Church (if that's what you want to call them...) This organization has wielded an immense amount of power and I never knew just how influential they were. I use all of these terms in the past tense for reason. The Church of Scientology claims that they have over 3.5 million members. Many public records place the actual membership at less than 25,000. Empires rise and fall... ...and so do certain "religions"...

Validation of everything we know about Scientology: it's a cult started by a nihilistic failed author who had to break into sci-fi to sell any books. They isolate you from those you love and take your money. Just looking at the current head of Scientology gives me the willies. There is something sinister about that guy. Oh and Tom Cruise is a loser perpetuating dangerous lies.

This documentary was one of the best I've ever seen, and I watch way too many! About 30 mins in, your jaw will drop and stay there. Plus, John Travolta and Tom Cruise like you've never imagined!

This was an excellent expose' that kept me riveted through the entire program. I've done some reading about the horrors of Scientology before, and this documentary really does a great job at uncovering the deceit and destruction caused by Scientology. I feel badly for all of those still caught within it's poisonous web of lies including Cruise and Travolta.

Fascinating documentary but also very sad. Why hasn't this cult been stopped yet? How can brainwashing and abuse of people be allowed? I can see how R L Hubbard got away with it many years ago but how David Miscavae is still getting away with this today is beyond belief! Wake up people ffs.
