A movie about a actress who makes ends meet by working on a phone sex line with a Prince soundtrack - how could I pass this one up? There is even a Madonna cameo appearance.

This movie made me want to work for a phone sex hotline, which might be a bad thing. The message in he ending was great but the edning itself seemed lacking, somehow.

Here's another dumb Spike Lee film involving a phone sex operator. This film is filled with exploitedness it's not even funny.

This is more along the lines of She Hate Me. You could even say Spike's first attempt and a different angle. Spike is know who his comedy and drama but here he ventures into more dark waters and that's not a particular bad thing. Once again he embraces controversial subject matter with confidence and he crafts a unique film with strong performances. The film certainly suffers from a lack of direction. But I feel it's still a good film in it's own right. There some very strong performances and interesting characters. Theresa Randle gives a knock out performance for one thing.
