Gimme Shelter (1986)

The mother does half-nude aerobics until her son rapes her, and the daughter falls into bed with a female teacher. Despite the shocking goings-on, the film is much more in keeping with Sato's usual themes of alienation and corrupted innocence than its brutal predecessor.

The death of the sixties, superb music, Hells Angels and hippies. What more do you want?

Astounding rock doc follows the Rolling Stones on a successful 1969 U.S. tour, ending with the notorious Altamont Speedway performance during which Hell's Angels were employed as security and four people were killed. Concert footage is electrifying, the music is brilliant, and the Maysles brothers turn the eccentric audience members into legitimate characters. A young George Lucas served as a principle camera operator (although none of his footage made the final cut).

The greatest documentary ever made. Witness the end of innocence through the horrific events at Altamont.

2nd greatest rock documentary ever. What's #1 you ask? The Kids Are Alright.

Amazing introspective into the final days of an otherwise intellectual and cultural revolution.
