The Elkabetzes don’t need the audience to have any firsthand experience of what Viviane and Elisha are actually like at home. Gett works better if the viewer has to puzzle out the truth from testimony, asides, and outbursts.

This movie casts a harsh light on a dark segment of Israeli society that is mostly obscured from the outside world. The film hits the underlying tensions between the secular Israel that the outside world sees and the religious nation in which not everyone is equal under the law. Very disturbing and tense movie about position of Israeli woman in Israeli society. Sometimes you can see disturbing similarities between Sharia and orthodox Israeli law...Definately worth to see movie.

2 hours of interaction inside a 350 square feet court room. A group of college guys can re produce this movie out of their pocket expense. But can they reproduce the same performance? -Answer is no. A dry 'Drama' screenplay is watered by powerhouse performance from all the artists. This movie must be shelved as reference deck for future film makers.
