This isn't considered one of the great movie musicals BY SOME but it certainly is to me. First you have that immortal Gershwin music; then there are the stars (and I don't just mean Hepburn and Astaire--Kay Thompson is STUNNING!), the fashions, the Paris locations... and the dancing. Have mercy. Some of the plotlines are a little doofy, implausible; but then so is a world where people dance and sing in public. Except in the West Village. Nevertheless, it remains a favourite to many fans of these actors and of musical movies, period. Audrey's vocals are, to me, especially moving, as they are so honest and heartfelt. I actually have this film in my Ipod

This one is hard-- I love Fred, and I love his character, and I like Audrey, but I loathe her character. In the end it all works out though, and Fred dances. :) One of Fred's better later films-- Fred and Audrey is waaay better than Fred and Leslie Carron
