Frogs (1972)

Jason Crockett is an aging, grumpy, physically disabled millionaire who invites his family to his island estate for his birthday celebration. Pickett Smith is a free-lance photographer who is doing a pollution layout for an ecology magazine. Jason Crockett hates nature, poisoning anything that crawls on his property. On the night of his birthday the frogs and other members of nature begin to pay Crockett back.

"DEFINATELY THE BEST MOVIE I OWN!", or that is what I would say if I indeed enjoyed this movie. I must cut it some slack for "creativity" and "originality" but it is obvious that most of the budget for this film was actually used to purchase the animals. Other than that it is a good movie to watch at a party with a bunch of friends to get some cheap jokes in.

A B-movie that's not quite bad enough to be good. It's only redeeming quality is suddenly realizing you're watching Sam Eliot without a mustache and cowboy hat. The frogs are on sedatives and do pretty much nothing; while the humans suffer from an inability to walk, and a habit of falling into pits of crocodiles, spiders, and imported lizards.

A very heavy handed lesson about pollution. As with any nature takes revenge movie, the lizards and spiders and snakes kill people. For some reason the frogs in the movie just annoy people, they don't have any other means of getting revenge apparently. It's predictable, boring, and kinda stupid, especially the frogs.
