Terry Kiser as the doctor who was in Weekend at Bernies 1 and 2 was great. The main girl was used telekinesis like the force and did some crazy things to Jason. The film went back to the basics of horror and Crystal Lake. The reanimation technique was startling at the end when her dad came out of nowhere and helped her.

What a wonderful installment to the series. Finally everyone's favorite Jason actor Kane Hodder took the role to a new level and made Jason more intimidating than ever before. They managed to also show that Jason actually does get uglier as he continues to be a living corpse, whereas in all the other movies he just stays the same guy who's head changes color with every film. He also faces his hardest foe to date. This movie is great. Has some of the best death scenes yet and a little less nudity but it's still there.

There are several things I like about this movie: Jason's look (the best in the series!), the kills, John Carl Buechler on make-up FX and directing, and the introduction of Kane Hodder as Jason. I love the outlandish idea of pitting Jason against a girl with telekinisis. Imagine, Jason vs. Carrie. Although not as good as it would have been uncut with all the gore fully intact, Also features the best kill of the entire series: The sleeping bag kill. Simple, classic Jason.

If a dream match was ever to be put in place, then it had to be a Jason Vs Carrie, and a well played out matchup it was. However, Tina Shepard doesn't have a heavily religious mother and earth shattering abilities. In fact, her mother is more towards the norm making Tina less uncanny. Possibly the best of the series with the best actor to portray the hockey masked killer.
