A rapist is outside with evidence and instead of locking the door and calling the cops, she does neither. Really? Then when the rapist is asleep instead of escaping... she calls in sick to work. Then the rapist comes to her work. People fight with him, shouting "call the police", she breaks up the fight... Then when her boyfriend comes to save her.. she doesn't go to him. When cutting a cucumber she finally thinks it's time to protect herself. Use the knife? No! Don't be crazy! Hit him with a plastic bottle of water! Both "Spit on Your Grave"s are much better than this bizarre, tragic Japanese homage. I like the freezer aspect, reminds me of the bookcases in "6ixtynin9".

This movie is fucking retarded. Chihiro has to be one of the least sympathetic protagonists ever - she's a likeable girl at first, but she displays no common sense whatsoever. To say too much would spoil it, but in short: there are a million ways that she could get out of her predicament and she does not act on ONE of them. She even goes so far as to shelter her antagonists for no reason! Who came up with this crap? The cinematography is uninspired, the twist ending is lame and the plot has no depth at all. Skip this one.

Japanese horror is in a class of it's own. Freeze Me (It's also called Freezer) is a movie about revenge for a horrible crime happening some years prior to this story. For a while the female lead-character had my sympathy, but as the movie progressed she got herself into something she couldn't get out of. Lot's of nudity in this flick, but not sleazy. This is not a movie for the faint-hearted.
