Free State of Jones (2016)

In 1863, Mississippi farmer Newt Knight serves as a medic for the Confederate Army. Opposed to slavery, Knight would rather help the wounded than fight the Union. After his nephew dies in battle, Newt returns home to Jones County to safeguard his family but is soon branded an outlaw deserter. Forced to flee, he finds refuge with a group of runaway slaves hiding out in the swamps. Forging an alliance with the slaves and other farmers, Knight leads a rebellion that would forever change history.

Finally!!! A movie that avoids the monitors of liberalism and tells the truth about the struggle of the civil war in the south. Democrats depicted truthfully as the power behind the KKK, blacks standing up to vote as free men and vote republican, and the wealthy 2% regaining power and denying rights for people that were won in the civil war up to 100 years later. Fantastic story, and for those critics that don't like it, it exposes their biases.

Matthew McConaughey did an excellent job bringing to life this incredible story. It was excellent because it brought to light some not so know controversial issues that the south had to deal with during and after the civil war. And all the while telling a great historical story. Great movie I would definitely watch again and even go as far as nominating it for the Academy Awards and would be a shame if it didn't take home at least a few. Great Work.

Great movie one that Hillary Clinton and gang should watch you will see what happens when you lose your guns .Love the Historical background and how both governments North and South or crooked and how the Democratic Party helped the KKK and ran crooked elections a lot like today.
