My all time favourite movie not nearly enough respect is given to the genius' who wrote this.

If I were to give this movie an awesomely short and to-the-point Christopher Lewis-style review, I would say: "I like this Bill & Ted movie best." This is what the "Bill & Ted" movies should have been. Alex "Bill S. Preston" Winter co-writes, co-directs and stars in what is an amazingly gonzo version of Tod Browning's 'Freaks'. It has an amazing cast, including an uncredited Keanu Reeves covered in fur with the incredible name "Ortiz the Dog-Boy". Just awesome. I love the enthusiasm behind this movie and it's full of rapid-fire gags that had me rolling. The DVD is cheap, just buy this one! Also, I highly recommend the commentary on the R1 DVD with Alex Winter and Tom Stern, it's just as funny as the movie.

I searched EVERY video retail store I knew of searching for this movie. Bill of Bill and Ted co-directing, co-writing, and starring in a movie about hideous mutant freaks? Keanu Reeves in an uncredited appearance as the Dog Boy? Some truly awesome special effects and just a bizarre insane story? Count me in! This didn't turn out to be as great as I was anticipating but it's still a load of fun and it's short so it flies by quickly.

oh Alex Winter, where did you go? Very few times has a movie I'd never heard of lived up to the hype the internet gave it. But this is one of those few. I laughed so much at this movie, it worked on so many levels. Even the effects were great for such an unknown flick. Keanu Reeves's Ortiz was a great scene stealer, as were all the freaks. Makes me sad that Alex "Bill" Winter didn't do much besides this and the Bill & Ted movies- he is a fine actor and a very funny writer as this flick proves. Maybe one day he'll get his due, until then, this movie is one to watch- who doesn't love freaks?
